Trekking from south to north – 17 days

 

Program: 

Day 1 / Transfer Bishkek – Chon Kemin:: 

Meeting at the Manas International airport withguide translator and driver. Transfer to the guesthouse, rest and shower. Lunchand briefing in the typical restaurant in Bishkek. Transfer to Burana, the ancientcapital of Central Asia "Balasagun" visiting the park, the small museum and theminaret. Then transfer to Chon Kemin Valley. Dinner and night in a local homestay.

Day 2 / Trek Chon Kemin – Kogur lake:

In the morning after breakfast walk to the canyonof the Chon Kemin river, we walk to the lake Kogur 2500m. alt. Lunch on thenature with the panoramic view. Dinner and overnightin tents.Alt. 2500m

Day 3 / Trek Koel Toer pass – Issyk Kul lake – Karakol (180km):

In the morning, we crossthe pass at 3380m. Alt. and we go down with a magnificent view of the lake IssykKuland range Terskey-Ala too reaching over 5200 meters. In the afternoon, wereach our vehicle and we drive along the northern shore of Issyk-Kul, "warm lake",the second largest alpine lake in the world after Titicaca. We drive to Karakol, latearrival. Dinner and overnight in the guesthouse.

Day 4 / Transfer to Jeti-Oguz valley – trek to the Teleti valley:

In the morning we drive tothe west direction of Karakol. 40 minutes transfer. We arrive to the Jeti-OguzValley, for the trek. We walk along the river Jeti-Oguz. Arrival to the entrance ofthe valley of Asan-Tukum.Overnight in tents at 2800m. 5h.

Day 5 / The Archa-Tor pass, 3850m.:

Today we hike to the pass of Archa-Tor at 3850m.Picnic on the way. Descent into the valley of Kashka-Tor. Overnight and dinner intent camp

Day 6 / The glacier of Kashka-Tor – Chon Kizil Suu valley:

After breakfast we go up to thelake of Kashka-Tor. The goal is to get glacier of Kashka-Tor. Picnic. Down by thesame road. Reaching the Chon Kizil-Su river, then we walk up along the river.Overnight in tents at 2700m., at the foot of the Savatar pass.

Day 7 / The Savatar pass 3750m.: 

Start early morning. Today we have a long and difficultday. The start is steep and the trek follows the slope of the mountains. Picnic atthe foot of the pass.Attack of the sandy pass. Stop on the top, a wonderful viewopens for us. Descent into the valley of KichiKyzyl-Suu. Night at the entrance of theforest, at 2900m.

Day 8 / The Jumatay pass – Jukuchak valley:

Early morning, we attack the pass, whichrises at 3325m. Descent to the forest with a small narrow valley. Overnight in tentsalong the river. Opportunity to enjoy the hot spring, almost 39 ° C. Overnight intents.

Day 9 / Day 10 Transfer to the Son-Kul lake:

Early morning our driver will pick us up at the camp.Load luggage in the car. The equestrian guide goes home with horses. On the way,visit the eagle hunter, Kochkor village and hand craft center. Lunch in the localfamily house. Following road to Kalmak-Ashu at 3340m. Jewel of Kyrgyzstan, SonKulLake, situated at 3016m, is a paradise for Kyrgyz shepherds and for naturelovers. At the end of the day arrival to the lake. Second day on the shore of thelake, we spend to discover the shepherd’s life. Opportunity to walk around theyurt camp.Lunch, dinner and overnight in yurt camps.

Day 11 Transfer to Jalalabat:

In the morning we take our vehicle to reach the pass ofMoldo-Ashu at 3100m. Picnic in the Kazarman village. The road is in poorcondition. Crossing the Keuk Art pass to reach the Jalalabat city. Dinner in thetypical uzbek restaurant. Overnight in the local family house. 

Day 12 Transfer to Kizil-Unkur valley:

Morning visit of the local market to buy the food forthe trekking. Following road to the village of Kizil-Unkur, meadows of Arslanbob,the largest forest nuts. Arrival to the valley. Meeting and charging of the luggageon the horses.

Day 13 Trekking into the valley of Otuz Art: 

In the morning, we start our trekking into thevalley of Otuz Art. «Art » means pass. Today we have hike in the forest across thefew pass. Beautiful landscape, yellow and ocre red. In the evening, we reach ourcamping near the charming kyrgyz shepherd’s family. Overnight and dinner in thetent at 2320m.

Day 14 Trekking to the pass of Bel-Monchok: 

After the good night in the tent camp, westart our trekking to the Pass of Bel-Monchok. The pass situated at 3220m abovesea level. Lunch after the pass. Down to the lake of Kapka. Overnight and dinner onthe south western shore of the lake 2300m.

Day 15 Transfer to Toktogul: 

After the breakfast, we leave our horses. Walking along theriver Kara-Suu till the end of the lake. Very long day. Picnic in the forest andpossibility to swim in the lake. Our vehicle picks us up at the end of the lake.Transfer to Toktogul. Stroll downtown, accommodation in a home stay. Leisure,rest. Evening meal in the guest house. Shower.

Day 16 Transfer to Bishkek: 

After breakfast drive to Bishkek. The road is in goodcondition. Arrival to Bishkek, free time, opportunity to go to SPA. 280km.Overnight in a guest house.

Day 17 Transfer to Bishkek: 

Morning transfer to aiport. End of the trip
